What do you like about EDM compared with other technologies?
According to my previous working experience, EDM can process some special shapes, some tools are difficult in various places, all need EDM machine tolos to be processed.
How do you see the future of EDM? What are the challenges of the future?
The EDM machine of the future tends to be more intelligent and more automated. By integrating advanced sensors, artificial intelligence and adaptive control systems, real-time monitoring and adjustment of the processing process can be achieved to improve production efficiency and processing accuracy. According to <> research statistics, the global EDM market size shows a steady expansion trend, 2023 global EDM market sales will reach 16.23 billion yuan, is expected to reach 27.55 billion yuan in 2030, 2023-2030 compound growth rate (CAGR) of 7.85%.
What technologies do you think can be great allies of EDM in the future?
I don’t have enough experience in this technology field, it is difficult to say, but according to our company’s strategy, 3D printer should be closer to EDM technology.
What emerging markets do you foresee in the EDM world?
It’s hard to say.
Do you recall any success stories with customers that have made a mark on you?
I joined ONA a little over a year ago and, based on feedback from our current customers, I think they are satisfied with our products. Earlier this year we signed a contract with Schlumberger for a new EDM machine, which gives us an advantage over our competitors in the oil drilling field.
How many years have you been working at ONA? What is your role?
I have been working at ONA for almost a year. I am responsible for Chinese market.
