Interview with Chronholm, CEO of LICHROM
Interview with Chronholm, CEO of LICHROM
What do you like most about EDM compared to other technologies?
In the case of die sinking EDM, we believe that surface area is very important for mold makers; in the case of wire cutting, we believe that high precision, thin walls and small parts with high accuracy are important. Power consumption can be a factor. Speed may be a factor; EDM is still a “slow” process. The future should be good for EDM, new technologies can turn EDM machines into mainstream machines.
What technologies do you think can be great allies of EDM in the future?
We think 3D printing is a good ally for the future. Perhaps scanning for measurement purposes could be useful in the future.
What emerging markets do you foresee in the EDM world?
In a world of turbulence it can be valuable to focus on the Defense industry.
What is your role?
General manager
What do you think makes ONA more characteristic and special?
The size of the machines, we believe that size will be more important in the coming years.
A wish for the future of the company.
We like the videos you post on social networks, you should keep betting on digital marketing.
